Walk ALS Rhode Island

Team Campbell

Dear Friends and Supporters,

It is that time of year again for the annual ALS Walk, and I am reaching out to ask for your support as Team Campbell strives to make this year’s event a success.

It is hard to believe that five years have passed since my  husband, Paul Campbell, lost his battle with ALS. Despite the encouraging developments in new therapies, we are still far from achieving the ALS Association’s goal of making ALS a livable disease by 2030. Recent funding cuts threaten to delay the progress we have made in recent years.

Paul’s friends, family, and colleagues remember him as a passionate and relentless advocate for the causes he believed in. Before he passed away, I promised him that I would channel that passion by advocating for those with ALS. My goal in participating in the annual ALS Walk is to honor Paul’s memory and legacy while supporting those in the community who continue to struggle with this devastating disease.

Thanks to your generosity, Team Campbell to raise over $35,000 for the local association over the past four years. I hope you will continue to support our fundraising efforts for this important cause.

This year, Team Campbell will walk on Saturday, September 27th, in Providence, the city Paul loved and where he spent much of his life. We will meet at the Hope Club at 6 Benevolent Street (corner of Benefit) at 10:30 AM, walk down Benefit Street (The Mile of History), and return to the Hope Club for where lunch will be served. I hope many of Paul’s friends and family will join us this year to reunite in his memory and support this vital cause.

You can register for the walk on the Team Campbell page. If you are unable to join us, please consider supporting the cause by donating in Paul’s memory through the link below.

Thank you for your continued support and generosity.

Warm regards,

Susan Chapdelaine Campbell

Through our multidisciplinary clinic, medical equipment loan program, home modification program, support, and other care services, we are committed to supporting patients and families affected by ALS in Rhode Island.
